Bizarre Creations Dubbed the Best
The MCV Industry Excellence Awards are to the U.K. gaming industry what the Academy Awards are to the U.S. movie industry. MCV, a weekly subscription-based videogame industry trade magazine, held the annual MCV Industry Excellence Awards this month and Bizarre Creations was up for the Best U.K. Development Team.
Not long ago, Bizarre Creations started as a back-bedroom business and has since out-grown five previous locations before settling into their current 18,500 square foot custom-built space. Even with their rapid growth, expansion, and success, Bizarre never loses focus on what they do best—develop great games. Maneuvering the tricky world between serious business and game development isn’t always easy, but Bizarre not only pulls it off, they make it look simple.
The pool of finalists in the MCV Industry Excellence Awards for the best U.K. Development Team includes Creative Assembly, Sports Interactive, Traveller’s Tales, Bizarre Creations, and Lionhead. It is safe to say that the Bizarre Creations team pulled off a major coup while still remaining true to its roots as an independent game studio. Kudos to you, Bizarre, and congratulations too!
